The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act protects the privacy of student education records. Parents and eligible students have the right to inspect records, request amendments, and consent to disclosures.

The Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability. Lexington School for the Deaf partners with families on individualized accommodations and learning plans.

Lexington School for the Deaf is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS). We participate in the NAIS Principles of Good Practice.

Child Protection & Mandated Reporting
All Lexington School for the Deaf employees are trained mandated reporters under Pennsylvania law and the NAIS Principles of Good Practice. Background checks are required and renewed every five years.

Student Support & Wellness
Lexington School for the Deaf maintains a dedicated Student Support team (school counselor, Head of Upper/Middle/Lower School, and advisors) available to any student or family who needs help. Confidential wellness concerns can be submitted at any time via the form below.
